So many things to make... so little time to make them in....

Over the last couple months I started making these aprons. I made over 20 and have only one "practice" one left here at home to show for it.... and I don't even like that one that much. I have had fun playing with and changing it up. I made and gave a bunch away for Christmas gifts but then also friends bought them to give to their loved ones. It is great finding something new and fun to give family and friends... Guess you better put in your birthday order....

Seriously? I have to cook and clean again? We just got back from an amazing week of grown ups relaxing and kids non-stop playing. No cooking, no cleaning, no working - just fun. All in all a great way to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday and retirement from 40+ years of nursing. Work was getting in the way of all her travel so she had no choice but to retire. She will continue to work shifts when she isn't gone doing something exciting so it isn't a true retirement but worthy of celebrating nonetheless. We were able to surprise her with a week all together in Ixtapa Mexico. The whole family was there (14 of us) and it was great to have a place where we could spend as much (or as little:) ) time together as we wanted. Now we just have to get over the depression of being back to reality....
